About Sustainability Handbook

The Sustainability Handbook has been in existence in various forms for the past 14 years. It is currently a digital publication covering topics based on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Much of its content is peer-reviewed, meaning that it is considered an excellent reference on local and international best practices and solutions that uphold the goals of promoting and enhancing sustainable environmental objectives in infrastructure developments within South Africa and beyond.

It is endorsed by various organisations operating within the built and project management environment, such as The South African Institute of Civil Engineering, the South African Council for the Architectural Profession, the Master Builders South Africa, the South African Wind Energy Association, the South African Photovoltaic Industry Association, the Water Institute of South Africa and numerous others and is distributed to the members of these organisations as a value ad to their membership.

In short, it is a publication that is distributed to, read by and kept as a reference by leaders in the built environment sector. It is also distributed directly to key levels of Government and targeted Corporate leaders, with a mission to educate, inform and encourage cooperation and the flow of information and ideas between these Endorsing Partners, Government and private Corporations operating within this critical sphere.
